Bragging Rights?

Ok, so i feel really bad when I go on and on about something I made, it makes me feel full of myself and I don't like that. SO I try not to, but then i don't have anything to do on here, and maybe it bores all of you but i like to know details on recipes that I look at. Alright so about this cake- it took me 6 hours, a whole 6 hours
It has:
bottom layer: dark chocolate cake
middle layer: milk chocolate cake
top layer: white chocolate cake
icing: caramel
decoration: dark chocolate collar with white and milk chocolate drizzle
garnish: dark chocolate drizzle and sliced almonds
whats that in the last picture?: a quarter that my brother decided to stick on for a picture
I really liked it, but I suppose i was kind of biased. approximate recipe follows;
cake part- all the batters have to be done separately so each measurement is x3
1/4 cup water
2 oz chocolate(1st white, 2nd milk, 3rd dark)
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup sugar
1.5 eggs- separated
1t vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup buttermilk(1 cup milk+1t vinegar=1c buttermilk
heat water and chocolate in small saucepan until chocolate melts, cool completely
cream butter and sugar until combined, add egg yolks one at a time, then mix in vanilla and chocolate mixture. sift together flour, baking soda and salt then alternately add to butter mixture with buttermilk. Whip egg whites until they form stiff peaks then fold into batter. pour gently into a well greased and floured 8 inch round cake pan. bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Repeat for other chocolates.
Icing:
1 cup water
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
2 cups powdered sugar
heat water and brown sugar until boiling, reduce heat and boil for 2 minutes add milk. slowly add powdered sugar until desired consistency.
Collar:
If you want to know you might have to call, sorry =) its really confusing.
Enjoy =)
